Nightingale was rescued as an orphan in Riviera Beach, Palm Beach County, FL, on 2/01/09. She was 184 cm long and weighed 331 lbs. She was brought to Miami Seaquarium to rehabilitate and now weighs 640 lbs and measures 225 cm long. She was released into Earman River in Palm Beach County on Tuesday, 2/15/11.

    • 3/11/11-6/23/11: Sea2Shore continues to search for Kiandra and Nightingale.

      3/01/11-3/10/11: Nightingale’s tag was recovered on Monday, 2/28/11, in a canal in the Earman River.  Sea To Shore is searching for her by listening for her belt and watching for her during aerial surveys.

      2/15/11-2/28/11: She was observed on Monday, 2/21/11, traveling and milling by herself in a canal in Deerfield Beach.
